Synchronous belt is a new plastic transmission belt which combines the advantages of belt transmission, chain transmission and gear transmission. It is driven by meshing a working surface of the toothed belt with the tooth groove of the toothed belt pulley. Its strength layer is composed of fiber materials or metal materials with high tensile strength and small elongation, so that the pitch length of the synchronous belt remains basically unchanged in the transmission process, and there is sliding between the belt and the pulley in the transmission process, so as to ensure that there is no sliding difference between the main and driven wheels.
The synchronous belt drive (see Fig. 4-1) has the advantages of accurate transmission ratio, small axial force, compact structure, good oil resistance, good abrasion resistance and good aging resistance. The synchronous belt drive is composed of an annular belt with equal spacing tooth shape on the inner peripheral surface and corresponding matching wheels. It combines the advantages of belt drive, chain drive and gear drive. During rotation, the power is transmitted by meshing the belt teeth with the tooth slots of the wheel. Synchronous belt transmission has accurate transmission ratio, no slip, can obtain constant speed ratio, stable transmission, vibration absorption, low noise and large transmission ratio range, generally up to 1:10. The allowable linear speed can reach 50M / s, and the transmission power can range from a few watts to hundreds of kilowatts. High transmission efficiency, generally up to 98 percent , compact structure, suitable for multi shaft transmission, no lubrication and no pollution, so it can work normally in places where pollution is not allowed and the working environment is relatively harsh. This product is widely used in various types of mechanical transmission in textile, machine tool, tobacco, communication cable, light industry, chemical industry, metallurgy, instrumentation, food, mining, petroleum, automobile and other industries.
